When trying to locate transmission functional problems with the transmission still in the vehicle, use the charts, Fig. 7, to help locate the cause. When trying to locate transmission functional problems with the transmission removed from the vehicle, use the chart, Fig. 8, to help locate the cause. The numbers in the chart coincide with the most likely cause of the trouble. Therefore, No. 1 is more likely to cause a problem than No. 9.
