Oil Pan: Service and Repair


Fig. 40 Oil Pan & Oil Pump Components:






1. Remove and separate engine and transmission as described under Engine.
2. Install engine on engine stand, then remove timing belt and crankshaft timing pulley as described under Timing Belt.
3. Remove oil level sensor and oil dipstick and guide.
4. Remove No. 2 oil pan and oil strainer, Fig. 40.
5. Remove oil pan baffle plate and No. 1 oil pan.
6. Reverse procedure to install, refer to Specifications for torque values.
