Fuel Pump Relay: Testing and Inspection

CIRCUIT OPENING RELAY INSPECTION



1. REMOVE CIRCUIT OPENING RELAY
2. INSPECT CIRCUIT OPENING RELAY
(a) Inspect relay continuity



- Using an ohmmeter, check that there is continuity between terminals ST and E1.
- Check that there is continuity between terminals +B and FC.
- Check that there is no continuity between terminals +B and FP.
- If continuity is not as specified, replace the relay.
(b) Inspect relay operation



- Apply battery positive voltage across terminals ST and E1.
- Using an ohmmeter, check that there is continuity between terminals +B and FP.
- If operation is not as specified, replace the relay.

3. REINSTALL CIRCUIT OPENING RELAY
