1. Using an ohmmeter measure resistance across terminals.

Terminals STA - STJ
25 - 45 ohms below 15° C (59° F)
65 - 85 ohms above 3O° C (86° F)
Terminals STA - Ground
25 - 85 ohms

If the resistance is not as specified, replace the switch.
