Inspection Procedure
INSPECTION PROCEDURE1. Check voltage between terminals #10 through #40 of Engine Control Module and body ground.
- Connect the Check Harness A.
- Turn Ignition Switch ON.
- Measure voltage between terminals # 10 through #40 of Engine Control Module and body ground.
Voltage: 9 - 14 volts
- If OK proceed to step 3.
- If not OK proceed to step 2.
2. Check Ignition Relay.
- Remove Ignition Relay from relay block 2.
- Check continuity between terminals of Ignition Relay as shown.
- If OK check and repair harness and connector between Ignition Relay and battery.
- If not OK replace Ignition Relay.
3. Check continuity between terminals E01, E02 and body ground.
- If OK proceed to step 4.
- If not OK repair or replace harness or connector.
4. Check for open in harness and connector between Ignition Relay and Engine Control Module.
- If OK proceed to step 5.
- If not OK repair or replace harness or connector.
5. Check operation for Injectors.
- Disconnect Injector connector.
- Measure resistance of Injector.
Resistance: 13.4 to 14.2 ohms at 20°C (68°F)
- Check injection volume of Injector.
Injection volume; 55 to 70 cc (3.4 to 4.3 cu in.) /15 seconds
Difference between each injector; Less than 10 cc (0.6 cu in.)
Leakage; One drop or less per minute
- If OK proceed to DIAGNOSIS BY SYMPTOM.
- If not OK replace Injector.
