Automatic Light Control

With the Ignition SW turned ON, current flows to TERMINAL 1 of Automatic Light Control sensor through ECU-IG fuse. Voltage is applied at all times to TERMINAL 6 of Automatic Light Control sensor through the Taillight Relay Coil, and to TERMINAL 5 of the sensor through the Headlight Relay Coil.

Automatic Turning ON Of Lights
When it is dark outside, under Approx. 475 LUX, a scanner built into the Automatic Light Control sensor unit senses the available light to activate the sensor unit. The Ignition SW must be ON, and the Light Control SW it Autoposition for this operation. Current from the battery flows through the coil side of the Headlight Relay to TERMINAL 5 to TERMINAL 4 of the Automatic Light Control sensor. It will then travel through TERMINAL 12 onto 4 of the light control SW which activates the Headlight and Taillight Relays. This turns ON the Headlights and Accessory lights such as Tail, license plate and instrument lights.
