When performing the following tests, refer to Fig. 1.

1. Using as ohmmeter, check for continuity between terminals 1 and 2, and terminals 3 and 4.
2. Apply voltage across terminals 1 and 2. Ensure there is no continuity between terminals 3 and 4.
3. If the checks were not as specified in steps 1 and 2, replace relay.
