1. Raise and support vehicle, then remove front wheels.
2. Remove plug from support on strut tower, then loosen three shock absorber set nuts and piston rod locknut in middle of suspension support. Do not remove nuts at this time.
3. Remove brake caliper and support with wire.
4. Remove three bolts and disconnect speed sensor electrical harness clamps.
5. Remove clip and nut, then disconnect upper suspension arm from steering knuckle using tool No. 09610-20010, or equivalent, Fig. 16.
6. Disconnect stabilizer bar from stabilizer link, then remove stabilizer bar bracket.
7. Disconnect shock absorber from lower suspension arm, remove upper shock absorber nuts, then the shock absorber from vehicle.
8. Using coil spring tool No. 09727-0.0020, or equivalent, compress the coil spring.
9. Remove suspension piston rod locknut.
10. Remove suspension support, coil spring and spring bumper.
11. Remove insulator from suspension support.
12. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. When installing insulator, match bolt of suspension support with cutout portion of insulator.
b. Install lower end of coil spring into gap of spring seat of shock absorber.
c. After installing suspension support on rod, turn suspension support so that one of the bolts on suspension support faces in same direction as shown in Fig. 17. Align bolt so that a line drawn between rod and bolt would be 90° to direction of lower bushing.
d. Prior to completely tightening upper suspension arm and lower shock absorber bolt, stabilize suspension by installing wheels and bouncing vehicle up and down several times then tighten upper suspension arm and lower shock absorber bolts.
