Removal and Installation

Fig. 31 Removing Power Steering Pump:

Refer to Fig. 31 when replacing power steering pump, noting the following:
1. Turn tensioner counterclockwise, then remove drive belt.
2. Remove battery, then using a spanner (24mm), hold pressure port union then remove union and gasket.
3. When connecting pressure tube, ensure stopper is touching pump housing, then tighten union bolt to specifications.
4. Bleed power steering system after installation.
