Fuel Tank: Testing and Inspection

INSPECTION

WARNING: Do NOT attempt to weld the fuel tank or lines, as the fumes (even in a dry tank) are extremely flammable and could cause an explosion.

1. Inspect fuel tank, lines, and connections.





^ Inspect the fuel lines for cracks or leakage, and all connections for deformations.
^ Inspect the fuel tank vapor vent system hoses and connections for looseness. sharp bends or damage.
^ Inspect the fuel tank for deformations. cracks or fuel leakage.
^ Inspect the filler neck for damage or fuel leakage.





^ Hose and tube connections are as shown in the illustration.
If a problem is found, repair or replace the parts as necessary.
