Description and Diagnostic Procedure


SYSTEM: Injector Circuit

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The injectors are located in the intake manifold. They inject fuel into the cylinders based on the signals from the Engine Control Module.





DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

1. Check voltage between terminals #10 through 60 of Engine Control Module and body ground.
- If OK proceed to step 3.
- If not OK roceed to step 2.
2. Check IG2 relay.
- If OK check and repair harness and connector between IG2 relay and battery.
- If not OK replace IG2 relay.
3. Check continuity between terminals E01, E02 and body ground.
- If OK proceed to step 4.
- If not OK repair or replace harness or connector.
4. Check for open in harness and connector between Ignition Relay and Engine Control Module.
- If OK proceed to step 5.
- If not OK repair or replace harness or connector.
5. Check operation for injectors.
- If OK check and replace Engine Control Module.
- If not OK replace injector.
