Ignition Relay: Description and Operation

Ignition Relay Schematic:






PURPOSE
The ignition relay controls current flow to both ignition coils and igniters.

LOCATION
Located in relay box No.2 in the front left corner of the engine compartment.

OPERATION
Two separate coils activate a single set of contacts. One coil is activated in the START position the other in the IGNITION position. When activated current is applied to terminal +B of both igniters and to both positive ignition coil terminals.
