Fuel Pressure Regulator: Service and Repair

Fuel Pressure Regulator:

Removal
- Disconnect vacuum hose from pressure regulator.
- Disconnect No. 2 fuel line from regulator and discard gasket washers.

Fuel Pressure Regulator:

- Remove mounting bolts.
- Pull regulator out of fuel rail bore.
- Discard o-ring.

O-ring Installation:

Installation
- Lubricate with gasoline and install new o-ring on regulator.
- Install regulator in bore and tighten mounting bolts.

Torque value - 78 in.lbs (8.8 Nm)

- Reconnect No. 2 fuel line using new gasket washers.

Torque value - 20 ft.lb (27 Nm)

- Reconnect vacuum line.
- Start engine and check for leaks.
