Installation

O-ring Installation:

Preparation
- Using gasoline as a lubricant, install new o-rings and grommets on each injector.

Injector Orientation:

- Insert each injector into fuel rail.

Insulators And Spacers:

- Install insulators and spacers on intake manifold.

Fuel Rail Installation:

Injector Installation
- Install fuel rail on manifold.

Fuel Rail Hold-down Bolts:

- Install fuel rail mounting bolts finger tight only.

Injector Installation:

- Check that injectors rotate smoothly in their bores and electrical connectors are properly orientated.
- Tighten fuel rail bolts.

Torque value - 15 ft.lb (21 Nm)

- Install intake air control valve actuator.

Torque value - 61 in.lbs (6.8 Nm)

Electrical Connector Installation:

- Reconnect injector electrical connectors.
- Reverse remainder of REMOVAL procedure to complete.
- Use new gaskets and note the following torque values:

Air chamber supports - 13 ft.lb (18 Nm)
Fuel line to regulator - 20 ft.lb (27 Nm)
Fuel line to fuel rail - 30 ft.lb (42 Nm)
Throttle body - 15 ft.lb (21 Nm)
Throttle body bracket - 15 ft.lb (21 Nm)
