EGR Backpressure Transducer: Testing and Inspection

Modulator Inspection:

- Disconnect vacuum hoses from modulator.
- Block ports P and R.
- Blow through port Q. Air should flow freely through filter.

Modulator Inspection:

- Start engine and raise rpm to 2,500.
- Block ports P and R.
- Blow through port Q. Strong resistance to air flow should be present.
- Replace modulator if desired results are no achieved.
