Canister Purge Solenoid: Description and Operation

EVAP VSV:

PURPOSE
The EVAP VSV controls operation the fuel evaporation system.

LOCATION
The valve is located under the front of the intake manifold.

OPERATION
The VSV receives power whenever the engine is running. When engine temperature and load conditions are correct, the valve is switched ON and OFF via a duty-cycle type signal. For additional information on the EVAP system, refer to EMISSION CONTROL DEVICES.
