Air Temperature Sensor ( Ambient / Intake ): Description and Operation

PURPOSE
The intake air temperature (IAT) sensor measures the temperature of incoming intake (ambient) air, so the ECM can adjust injection duration.

LOCATION
The sensor is an integral part of the volume airflow sensor.
