Turn Signal Indicator: Service and Repair






COMBINATION METER
COMBINATION METER REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
1. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
(a) Lower the steering wheel fully and set it in the far position.
(b) Turn the ignition switch to LOCK and disconnect battery terminals.

CAUTION: Work must be started after approx. 90 seconds or longer from the time the ignition switch is turned to the "LOCK" position and negative (-) terminal cable is disconnected from the battery.






(c) Remove three screws and disconnect two connectors.
(d) Remove meter cluster.






(e) Remove four screws and disconnect three connectors.
(f) Remove combination meter assembly.

2. INSTALL COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
For installation, follow the removal procedure in reverse.











1. REMOVE COVER
(a) Remove the six screws.
(b) Remove the cover from the meter case.






2. REMOVE POWER SOURCE UNIT
(a) Remove four screws.






(b) Remove seven screws and connectors.
(c) Remove the power source unit from the meter case.






3. REMOVE METER GLASS AND PLATE
(a) Remove four screws.






(b) Push down the locking lugs and remove meter glass from meter case.
(c) Push down the locking lugs and remove cover from meter case.
(d) Push down the locking lugs and remove meter plate from meter case.






4. REMOVE METER LENS FROM CASE
(a) Remove fifteen screws.
(b} Separate the meter lens together with speedometer-tachometer and two gauges from the case.






5. REMOVE FUEL AND TEMPERATURE GAUGE
Release and separate the two gauges from the lens.






6. REMOVE SPEEDOMETER AND TACHOMETER
(a) Remove four screws and the speedometer and tachometer






(b) Keep the indicator needle horizontal.
(c) Remove the indicator needle without it striking the lens.






7. REMOVE OUTSIDE AIR TEMPERATURE DISPLAY
Remove two screws and the filter and outside air temperature display.





8. REMOVE TRIP AND ODO METER
(a) Remove two screws.
(b) Remove fuel warning cover.
(c) Separate the trip and odo meter, lens and cover from the case.






9. REMOVE COLD CATHODE TUBE
(a) Remove the screw and clip.
(b) Remove the cold cathode tube.






10. REMOVE CIRCUIT PLATE
(a) Remove twenty-three warning lights.
(b) Remove the circuit plate from the case.

COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY
For installation, follow the removal procedure in reverse.
