1993 LS 400 MUDGUARD INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
A mudguard kit is now available for installation on 1993 LS 400's. Be sure to thoroughly clean all attachment areas and carefully follow the installation procedures below.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
Front of vehicle
1. Remove the front tire to obtain sufficient space in the wheel arch molding area of the wheel well. Remove the plug from the bottom of the fender liner at point (1) and the push-pin from the wheel arch molding at point (2). Using a 4 mm Allen Wrench, remove the allen head screw at point (3) (See Figure 1)
2. Install the mudguard by inserting the clip found on the mudguard at point (1), onto the wheel arch molding at point (2). (See Figure 2)
3. Using a phillips screw driver, secure the mudguard to the bottom of the fender liner at point (1), with the grommet and short phillips head screw supplied in the hardware bag and tighten. (see Figure 3)

4. Insert the push-pin supplied in the hardware bag into the mudguard hole at point (2). Re-install the previously removed Allen head screw at point (3) and tighten. (See Figure 4).
5. While holding the mudguard as flush to the body as possible, use the mudguard as a drill template to drill a hole into the wheel arch molding at Point (1). (See Figure 5)
[Note:] No. 40 drill bit is required
6. Using a 4 mm Allen wrench, secure the mudguard to the wheel at point (1), using a short Allen head screw supplied in the hardware bag and tighten. (See Figure 6)
7. Reinstall the tire.

INSTALLATION OF REAR MUDGUARDS
1. Remove the rear tire to obtain sufficient space in the rear bumper area of the wheel well. Using a 4 mm Allen wrench, remove the Allen head screw at point (4) on the rear bumper. (See Figure 7)
2. Install the mudguard by inserting the clip found on the mudguard, onto the rear bumper at point (5). (See Figure 8)
3. Using a 4 mm Allen wrench, install the mudguard by reinstalling the previously removed Allen head screw at point (4), and tighten. (See Figure 9)
4. While holding the mudguard as flush to the body as possible, use the mudguard as a drill template to drill the holes into the rear bumper at points (5), (6), (7), and (8). (See Figure 10)
[Note:] Caution should be taken when drilling the No. 40 hole at point (7) to make sure the vehicle grommet is correctly aligned.
5. Using a 4 mm Allen Wrench, install the short Allen head screws found in the hardware bag at points (5), (6), and (8), and install a long Allen head screw, also found in the hardware bag, at point (7) and tighten (See Figure 11).
6 Reinstall the tire.
