Removal and Installation

FRONT DOOR REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR CHECK FROM BODY

HINT: Tape a screwdriver tip before use.





(a) Using the screwdriver, remove the door check cover.





(b) Using a torx wrench, remove the screw.
(c) Remove the door check from the body.





2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE

HINT: Tape a screwdriver tip before use.

(a) Using the screwdriver, pry out the front side of the clip.
(b) Using a clip remover, remove the scuff plate.

3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR PANEL





(a) Peel off the front corner of the floor carpet.





(b) Disconnect four connectors.
(c) While supporting the door, remove four door side hinge bolts to remove the door.

NOTICE: Do not damage the connectors.

FRONT DOOR HINGE REPLACEMENT

1. REMOVE FRONT DOOR HINGE
(a) Remove two bolts from the body side.
(b) Remove the door hinge.

2. INSTALL FRONT DOOR HINGE
Install the hinge with two bolts.

Torque: 28 N.m (290 kgf.cm. 21 ft.Ibf)

FRONT DOOR INSTALLATION
Install front door parts by following removal sequence in reverse.

Install front door panel

Torque: 28 N.m (290 kgf.cm, 21 ft.Ibf)

Install front door check





(a) Apply adhesive to the screw.

Part No.08833-00070,THREE BOND 1324 or equivalent

(b) Install the door check with the screw.

Torque: 8.8 N.m (90 kgf.cm, 78 in.Ibf)
