Fig. 8 Exploded View Of Front Shock Absorber:

1. Raise and support vehicle, then remove front wheels.
2. Remove fender liner, engine undercover and front wheel opening moulding, Fig. 8.
3. Remove windshield washer fluid reservoir, then the bolt and disconnect speed sensor from steering knuckle.
4. Remove three bolts and disconnect speed sensor electrical harness clamps.
5. Remove cotter pin and nut from upper suspension arm ball joint, then disconnect upper suspension arm from ball joint using ball joint puller 09628-62011 or equivalent.
6. Remove through bolt and nut, then the upper suspension arm.
7. Inspect ball joint as outlined under DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING PROCEDURES/TESTING PROCEDURES/BALL JOINT INSPECTION.
8. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Prior to completely tightening upper suspension arm bolt, stabilize suspension by installing wheels and bouncing vehicle up and down several times then tighten upper suspension arm bolt.
