Install the Cover On the Back of the Connector

8. INSTALL THE COVER ON THE BACK OF THE CONNECTOR.


Note: Make sure the wires are not subjected to abnormal tension.


9. PRECAUTIONS





a) Never connect the male and female connector without the terminal retainer. If the terminal retainer is not installed, the male and/or female terminals can become damaged and contact will not occur (see Figure 10).





b) When measuring and/or testing the connector for voltage or resistance with a test probe, it is critical that the probe be inserted into the upper part of the female terminal in the same method used when removing a terminal. Never insert the test probe into the terminal (see Figure 11).
