SPECIAL SERVICE CAMPAIGN # 903 - ALTERNATOR CONNECTOR

TECHNICAL INSTRUCTIONS

Tools Required

3/8" Drive Ratchet 3/8" Drive Extension (3"-6") 3/8" Drive 10 mm Socket Glove

Engine Undercover Removal

1. Turn the ignition switch to the lock position.

2. Remove the eight bolts and the five tapping screws.

Checking the Connection

Warning: Exhaust system may be hot, so please use a glove while checking connection.

1. Pull the alternator connector as shown in Figure 3.

Note: When pulling the connector, do not press the locking plate.



2. Inspect the connection of alternator connector by following the chart shown below.
3. Verification

1) Turn the ignition switch on and check the battery indicator operation.
Ignition switch on: Battery indicator light on
After starting engine: Battery indicator light off

2) Install the engine undercover.
