Installation

Note: This procedure uses illustrations of the right side injectors and components. Procedures for the left side are similar.

O-ring And Grommet Installation:

- Install new o-ring and grommet to each injector.
- Lubricate o-rings with gasoline and install into fuel rail with a twisting motion.

Injector Orientation:

- If installed correctly, injectors should rotate smoothly.

Right Side Fuel Rail:

- Install insulators on manifold.
- Install fuel rails and finger tighten fasteners.

Injector Installation:

- Check that injectors rotate smoothly in their bores and that electrical connectors are facing outward.
- Loosely install front and rear fuel pipes.
- Tighten fuel rails.

Torque value - 13 ft.lb (18 Nm)

- Tighten front and rear fuel pipes.

Torque value - 22 ft.lb (29 Nm)

- Reverse remainder of removal procedure to complete. Use new gaskets and note the following torque values:

Cold start supply line - 11 ft.lb (15 Nm)
Fuel return line - 22 ft.lb (29 Nm)
Throttle body - 13 ft.lb (18 Nm)
