Thermal Vacuum Valve: Testing and Inspection

Testing BVSV - Closed Position:

- Drain coolant into an approved container.
- Unscrew and remove BVSV.
- Cool BVSV to below 35°C (95°F).
- Blow air into either port and check that air does NOT pass through valve.

Testing BVSV - Open Position:

- Heat BVSV to above 56°C (133°F).
- Blow air into either port and check that air does pass, (valve open).
- Replace valve if desired results are not achieved.
