No. 3 Cooling Fan & Engine Main Relay

When performing the following tests, refer to Fig. 1.

1. Using an ohmmeter, perform the following checks:
a. Continuity should exist between terminals 1 and 3.
b. Continuity should exist between terminals 2 and 4.
c. Continuity should not exist between terminals 4 and 5.
2. Apply battery voltage across terminals 1 and 3. Perform the following checks, using an ohmmeter:
a. Continuity should exist between terminals 4 and 5.
b. Continuity should not exist between terminals 2 and 4.
3. If the checks were not as specified in steps 1 and 2, replace relay.
