SUN VISOR REPLACEMENT





To improve serviceability, sun visors can now be replaced independently of the front headliner assembly and are available as follows:

1) Remove the front roof headliner
(a) Remove the front pillar garnish
(b) Remove the map light
(c) Remove the center visor and inner rear view mirror (Refer to LEXUS Repair Manual. See page BO-163; Pub. No. RM203U2)

2) Remove the adhesive tape fixing the wire harness.

3) Disconnect the connector from the bracket.

4) Pull out the terminal pin from the connector.





5) Remove and save the "E" ring (see Figure 3).


6) Shave off the head of the sun visor arm (see Figure 4).


7) Remove the sun visor from the roof headliner.


^ Installation of Sun Visor

1) Install the new sun visor to the roof headliner.

2) Install the "E" ring (see Figure 5).

3) Insert the terminal pin into the connector.

4) Attach the connector to bracket.

5) Fix the harness in place with adhesive tape.

6) Install the front roof headliner. (Refer to LEXUS Repair Manual, see page BO-167.)
