Removal
1. Refer to Fig. 52 when replacing suspension arms.
2. Raise and support vehicle, then remove wheel and tire assembly.
3. Disconnect ABS speed sensor wire clamp from No. 1 suspension arm.
4. Disconnect strut rod from axle carrier.
5. Place matchmarks on adjusting cam and body, Fig. 79.
6. Disconnect both suspension arms from axle carrier.
7. Remove fuel tank protector, Fig. 80.
8. Remove adjusting cam, cam bolt and No. 2 suspension arm from body.
9. Remove bolt, retainer and No. 1 suspension arm from body.

Installation
Both No. 1 suspension arms have been stamped with an R or L respectively for identification.

1. Temporarily install No. 1 suspension arm to body with directional hole facing toward the outside rear of vehicle, Fig. 81.
2. Temporarily install No. 2 suspension arm to body with small paint spot toward outside of vehicle, Fig. 82.
3. Temporarily connect both suspension arms and strut rod to axle carrier.
4. Connect ABS speed sensor wire clamp to No. 1 suspension arm, then install wheel and tire assembly and torque to specifications.
5. Install wheel and tire, then lower vehicle to ground and bounce up and down several times to stabilize suspension.
6. With vehicle weight on suspension, torque all suspension bolts to specifications as follows:
a. Torque No. 1 suspension arm bolt at body.
b. Align match marks on adjusting cam and body, then torque to specifications.
c. Torque both suspension arms and strut rod to axle carrier.
7. Install fuel tank protector, then check rear wheel alignment.
