Braking Sensor/Switch: Description and Operation

The stop lamp switch, located on the brake pedal support bracket, provides a "BRAKE APPLIED" input to the ABS computer. The signal from this switch resets the control routine if the driver pumps the brake pedal during an ABS braking maneuver. This switch also controls conventional stop lamp operation.
