Installation

Fuel Rail Installation
- Using gasoline as a lubricant, install a new grommet and o-ring to injector.
- Install injectors into fuel rail.

Spacers And Insulators:

- Install insulators and spacers on intake manifold.

Injector Orientation:

- Install fuel rails on intake manifold.
- Install fuel rail bolts finger tight.
- Injectors should rotate smoothly in their bores if o-rings are properly installed.
- Align injector electrical connectors as shown.
- Tighten fuel rail bolts.

Torque value - 9 ft.lb (13 Nm)

No. 2 Fuel Line Installation:

- Install No. 2 fuel pipe to end of fuel rails.

Torque value - 24 ft.lb (32 Nm)

- Install fuel supply and return lines.
- Reconnect injector electrical connectors.
- Reverse remainder of removal procedure to complete.
- Use new gaskets and note the following torque values:

Intake air chamber - 32 ft.lb (43 Nm)
EGR pipe - 58 ft.lb (78 Nm)
Air chamber support - 27 ft.lb (37 Nm)
