Radiator: Service and Repair
REMOVAL OF RADIATOR
1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE TERMINAL OF BATTERY
CAUTION: Work must be started after approx. 20 seconds or longer from the time the ignition switch is turned to the "LOCK" position and the negative (-) terminal cable is disconnected from the battery.
2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT
3. REMOVE BATTERY
4. REMOVE IGNITION COIL, IGNITER AND BRACKET ASSEMBLY
5. DISCONNECT RADIATOR RESERVOIR HOSE
6. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER
7. DISCONNECT RADIATOR HOSES
8. DISCONNECT COOLING FAN CONNECTORS
9. DISCONNECT OIL COOLER HOSES (A/T)
10. REMOVE RADIATOR AND ELECTRIC COOLING FANS
- Remove the two bolts, supports and radiator.
11. REMOVE ELECTRIC COOLING FANS FROM RADIATOR
INSTALLATION OF RADIATOR
1. INSTALL ELECTRIC COOLING FANS TO RADIATOR
2. INSTALL RADIATOR
- Place the radiator in position, and install the two supports with the two bolts.
NOTE: After installation, check that the rubber cushion (A) of the supports are not depressed.
3. CONNECT OIL COOLER HOSES (A/T)
4. CONNECT COOLING FAN CONNECTORS
5. CONNECT RADIATOR HOSES
6. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER
7. CONNECT RADIATOR RESERVOIR HOSE
8. INSTALL IGNITION COIL, IGNITER AND BRACKET ASSEMBLY
9. INSTALL BATTERY
- Connect the grand strap.
10. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE TERMINAL OF BATTERY
11. FILL WITH ENGINE COOLANT
12. START ENGINE AND CHECK FOR LEAKS
13. CHECK AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID LEVEL (A/T)
NOTE: Do not overfill.
