Wheel Speed Sensor System Functional Test

ABS Warning Light:

The wheel speed sensor on-board diagnosis system is designed to find any problem with the wheel speed sensors. This is used in conjunction with the ABS on-board diagnosis system to pinpoint any system malfunction.

1. Check that the battery voltage is 12.0 volts.
2. Insure that the anti-lock warning light works.
a. Turn on the ignition.
b. The anti-lock warning light should turn on for 3 seconds.
NOTE: If the light does not light, check the fuse, bulb, and the wiring harness
c. After three seconds the anti-lock warning light should turn off.
d. Turn the ignition off.
