LIGHTING (EXT): HIGH INTENSITY DISCHARGE HEADLIGHT BULB: REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION (w/ Navigation System for HDD)

NOTICE:
After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

3. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER Removal

4. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH (for LH Side) Removal

5. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL (for LH Side) Removal

6. REMOVE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT BACK COVER

(a) Turn the No. 1 headlight back cover in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration, and remove it.





7. REMOVE DISCHARGE HEADLIGHT BULB

(a) Separate the light control ECU socket in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration.





(b) Release the set spring and remove the discharge headlight bulb in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration.





NOTICE:
Do not touch the bulb glass.
