BRAKE CONTROL / DYNAMIC CONTROL SYSTEMS: BRAKE ACTUATOR: REMOVAL
1. PRECAUTION (w/ Navigation System for HDD)
NOTICE:
After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
3. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER
4. REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR WITH BRACKET
(a) Remove the bolt and separate the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly from the brake actuator bracket assembly.
(b) Separate the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly from the clamp, and then place the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly next to the clamp.
NOTICE:
Do not damage the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.
(c) Release the lock lever and disconnect the brake actuator connector.
NOTICE:
Be careful not to allow brake fluid to enter the removed connector.
(d) Using union nut wrenches (10 mm and 12 mm), disconnect the 6 brake lines from the brake actuator with bracket.

(e) Use tags or make a memo to identify the places to reconnect.

(f) Remove the 3 bolts and brake actuator with bracket from the body.
NOTICE:
Do not damage the brake lines or wire harness.
5. REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the piping clamp.
NOTICE:
Do not damage the clamp.
(b) Remove the 3 bolts and brake actuator assembly from the brake actuator bracket assembly.
