DOOR LOCK: FRONT DOOR LOCK: REMOVAL
1. PRECAUTION (w/ Navigation System for HDD)
NOTICE:
After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG Disassembly
4. REMOVE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH FRONT DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL (for Driver Side) Disassembly
5. REMOVE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH FRONT DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL (for Front Passenger Side) Removal
6. REMOVE DOOR ARMREST COVER Disassembly
7. REMOVE COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY Removal
8. REMOVE NO. 1 FRONT DOOR STIFFENER CUSHION Disassembly
9. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY Disassembly
10. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INNER GLASS WEATHERSTRIP Disassembly
11. REMOVE DOOR FRAME GARNISH Disassembly
12. REMOVE FRONT NO. 3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY Removal
13. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY Removal
14. REMOVE NO. 1 FRONT DOOR TRIM BRACKET Disassembly
15. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER Disassembly
16. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY Disassembly
17. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS RUN Disassembly
18. REMOVE FRONT DOOR REAR LOWER FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY Disassembly
19. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER WITH LOCK CYLINDER ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side) Disassembly
20. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY
(a) Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 3 screws.
(b) Slide the front door lock assembly downward, and remove the front door lock assembly and cables as a unit.
(c) Remove the door lock wiring harness seal from the front door lock assembly.
(d) Remove the front door lock remote control cable assembly.
(e) Using a screwdriver, disengage the 3 claws.
HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
(f) Remove the front door inside locking cable assembly.
