Installation

DOOR / HATCH: POWER BACK DOOR DRIVE UNIT: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL POWER BACK DOOR UNIT ASSEMBLY

(a) Clean the threaded portion on the vehicle body with a non-residue solvent.

(b) Apply adhesive to the threads of the 7 bolts.

Adhesive:

Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1324, Three Bond 1324 or equivalent

(c) Engage the claw as shown in the illustration.





(d) Install the power back door unit with the 5 bolts.

Torque : 31 Nm (316 kgf-cm, 23 ft-lbf)

(e) Connect the connector.

(f) Install the 2 bolts.





Torque : 31 Nm (316 kgf-cm, 23 ft-lbf)

2. INSTALL REAR ROOF SIDE RAIL PAD LH

(a) Engage the 2 fasteners and install the rear roof rail pad LH.





3. INSTALL UPPER BACK WINDOW PANEL TRIM Reassembly

4. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY
