VSV For Canister Closed Valve (CCV)
INSPECTION1. REMOVE VSV
a. Disconnect the MAF meter connector.
b. Disconnect the VSV connector for CCV and vacuum hose.
c. Remove the air cleaner cap.
d. Remove the 2 screws, VSV for CCV and O-ring.
2. INSPECT VSV FOR OPEN CIRCUIT
Using an Ohmmeter, check that there is continuity between the terminals.
If there is no continuity, replace the VSV.
3. INSPECT VSV FOR GROUND
Using an Ohmmeter, check that there is no continuity between each terminal and the body.
If there is continuity, replace the VSV.
4. INSPECT VSV OPERATION
a. Check that air flows from ports A to B.
b. Apply battery positive voltage across the terminals.
c. Check that air does not flow from ports A to B.
If operation is not as specified, replace the VSV.
5. REINSTALL VSV
a. Install the O-ring, VSV for CCV, and 2 screws.
b. Install the air cleaner cap.
c. Connect the vacuum hose, VSV connector for CCV.
d. Connect the MAF meter connector.
