Headliner: Service and Repair
REMOVAL1. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the front part of deck board assembly.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
b. Remove the 2 bolts and deck board assembly.
2. REMOVE NO. 2 DECK BOARD
3. REMOVE NO. 3 DECK BOARD
4. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRAY
5. REMOVE SPARE WHEEL COVER TRAY
6. REMOVE DECK SIDE TRIM BOX LH AND RH
Remove the nut, 4 clips and deck side trim box.
HINT: Use the same manner described above to the other side.
7. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER
8. REMOVE REAR SEATS
9. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANELS
Using a screwdriver, remove the instrument side panel.
HINT:
- Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
- Use the same manner described above to the other side.
10. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE SCUFF PLATES
Insert a screwdriver between the front door inside scuff plate and body to pry the scuff plate.
HINT:
- Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
- Use the same manner described above to the other side.
11. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIMS
12. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISHES
Insert a screwdriver between the body and front pillar garnish to pry the garnish.
HINT:
- Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
- Use the same manner described above to the other side.
13. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE SCUFF PLATES
Insert a screwdriver between the rear door inside scuff plate and body to pry the scuff plate.
HINT:
- Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
- Use the same manner described above to the other side.
14. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIMS
15. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISHES
a. Remove the front seat outer belt floor anchor.
b. Insert a screwdriver between the center pillar lower garnish and body to pry the garnish.
HINT:
- Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
- Use the same manner described above to the other side.
16. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR UPPER GARNISHES
a. Remove the front seat outer belt shoulder anchor.
b. Insert a screwdriver between the center pillar upper garnish and body to pry the garnish, then pull the garnish upward.
HINT:
- Use the same manner described above to the other side.
- Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
17. REMOVE REAR INTERIOR LIGHT
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the lens.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
b. Remove the 4 screws and rear interior light, then disconnect the connector.
18. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING REAR TRIM
Insert a screwdriver between the roof headlining rear trim and body to pry the trim.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
19. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE
a. Remove the 4 clips.
b. Insert a screwdriver between the rear floor finish plate and body to pry the finish plate.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
20. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH SIDE PLATES
a. Remove the bolt and floor hook.
b. Remove the clip.
c. Insert a screwdriver between the rear floor finish side plate and body to pry the side plate.
HINT:
- Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
- Use the same manner described above to the other side.
21. REMOVE DECK SIDE TRIM COVERS
Install the screwdriver between the deck side trim cover and the deck trim side panel to pry the deck side trim cover.
HINT:
- Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
- Use the same manner described above to the other side.
22. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISHES
a. Remove the 3 clips.
b. Insert a screwdriver between the rear seat side garnish and body to pry the garnish.
HINT:
- Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
- Use the same manner described above to the other side.
23. REMOVE ACCESSORY SOCKET
a. Using a screwdriver, disengage the claw on the accessory socket cover from the hole in the accessory socket, then pull out the accessory socket approx. 10 mm (0.39 in.).
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
b. Using a screwdriver, disengage the claw on the accessory socket cover from the body and remove the accessory socket and cover as a unit.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
c. Disconnect the connector.
d. Disassemble the accessory socket from the socket cover.
24. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL LH
a. Remove the bolt and floor hook.
b. Remove the 5 clips.
c. Insert a screwdriver between the deck side panel and body to pry the deck trim side panel.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
25. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL RH
a. Remove the luggage compartment No. 1 cover.
b. Remove the bolt and floor hook.
c. Remove the 5 clips.
d. Insert a screwdriver between the deck side panel and body to pry the deck trim side panel.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
26. REMOVE ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISHES
a. Remove the rear seat outer belt floor anchor.
b. Remove the 2 screws and deck side bar.
c. Remove the 2 clips.
d. Insert a screwdriver between the roof side inner garnish and body to pry the garnish.
HINT:
- Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
- Use the same manner described above to the other side.
e. Remove the roof side inner garnish.
HINT: When removing the roof side inner garnish, through out the rear seat outer belt floor anchor from the hole on the garnish.
27. REMOVE FRONT PERSONAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the lens.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
b. Open the glasses box.
c. Remove the 5 clips.
d. Remove the 3 screws and front personal light assembly.
e. Disconnect the connector.
f. Using a screwdriver, remove the mirror cover.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
g. w/ Electrochromic inner rear view mirror:
Disconnect the inner rear view mirror connector.
28. REMOVE SUN VISORS
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the cover.
HINT:
- Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
- Use the same manner described above to the other side.
b. Remove the 2 screws and pull the sun visor downward.
c. Disconnect the connector.
29. REMOVE SUN VISOR HOLDERS
Remove the 2 screws and 2 holders.
30. REMOVE ASSIST GRIPS
Remove the 8 screws and 4 grips.
31. REMOVE FRONT INTERIOR LIGHT
a. Using a screwdriver, remove the lens.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
b. Remove the 4 screws and front interior light.
c. Disconnect the connector.
32. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING
a. Remove the 2 clips.
b. Pull the roof headlining downward to remove it.
INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING
Install the roof headlining with the 2 clips.
2. INSTALL FRONT INTERIOR LIGHT
a. Connect the connector.
b. Install the front interior light with the 4 screws.
c. Install the lens to the light.
3. INSTALL ASSIST GRIPS
Install the 4 grips with the 8 screws.
4. INSTALL SUN VISOR HOLDERS
Install the 2 holders with the 2 screws.
5. INSTALL SUN VISORS
a. Connect the connector.
b. Install the sun visor with the 2 screws.
c. Install the cover.
HINT: Use the same manner described above to the other side.
6. INSTALL FRONT PERSONAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY
a. w/ Electrochromic inner rear view mirror:
Connect the inner rear view mirror connector.
b. Install the mirror cover.
c. Connect the connector.
d. Install the front personal light with the 3 screws.
e. Install the lens to the light.
7. INSTALL ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISHES
HINT: Use the same manner described above to the other side.
a. Install the roof side inner garnish.
HINT: When installing the roof side inner garnish, through out the rear seat outer belt floor anchor front the hole on the garnish.
b. Install the 2 clips.
c. Install the deck side bar with the 2 screws.
d. Install the rear seat outer belt floor anchor.
Torque: 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
8. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL RH
a. Install the deck trim side panel with the 5 clips.
b. Install the floor hook with the bolt.
c. Install the luggage compartment No. 1 cover.
9. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL LH
a. Install the deck trim side panel with the 5 clips.
b. Install the floor hook with the bolt.
10. INSTALL ACCESSORY SOCKET
a. Assemble the accessory socket to the accessory socket cover at the position 10 mm (0.39 in.) away from full lock position and ensure that they are temporarily locked.
b. Align the cut-out on the body with the claw on the accessory socket cover and install the accessory socket and cover to the body.
c. After installing them, push in the accessory socket approx. 10 mm (0.39 in.) to lock it.
11. INSTALL REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISHES
Install the rear seat side garnish with the 3 clips.
HINT: Use the same manner described above to the other side.
12. INSTALL DECK SIDE TRIM COVERS
Install the deck side trim covers to the deck trim side panels.
13. INSTALL REAR FLOOR FINISH SIDE PLATES
a. Install the rear floor finish side plate with the clip.
b. Install the floor hook with the bolt.
HINT: Use the same manner described above to the other side.
14. INSTALL REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE
Install the rear floor finish plate with the 4 clips.
15. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING REAR TRIM
Install the roof headlining rear trim to the body.
16. INSTALL REAR INTERIOR LIGHT
a. Connect the connector.
b. Install the rear interior light with the 4 screws.
c. Install the lens to the light.
17. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR UPPER GARNISHES
a. Install the center pillar upper garnish.
b. Install the front seat outer belt shoulder anchor.
Torque: 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
HINT: Use the same manner described above to the other side.
18. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISHES
a. Install the center pillar lower garnish.
b. Install the front seat outer belt floor anchor.
Torque: 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)
HINT: Use the same manner described above to the other side.
19. INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIMS
20. INSTALL REAR DOOR INSIDE SCUFF PLATES
21. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISHES
Install the front pillar garnishes to the body.
22. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIMS
23. INSTALL FRONT DOOR INSIDE SCUFF PLATES
24. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANELS
Install the instrument side panels to the front pillar garnishes.
25. INSTALL REAR SEATS
26. INSTALL TONNEAU COVER
27. INSTALL DECK SIDE TRIM BOX LH AND RH
Install the deck side trim box with the nut and 4 clips.
HINT: Use the same manner described above to the other side.
28. INSTALL SPARE WHEEL COVER TRAY
29. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRAY
30. INSTALL NO. 3 DECK BOARD
31. INSTALL NO. 2 DECK BOARD
32. INSTALL DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY
a. Install the deck board assembly with the 2 bolts.
b. Install the front part of deck board assembly to the body.
