Rear Wiper and Washer
REMOVAL1. REMOVE UPPER BACK DOOR TRIM
Insert a screwdriver between the back door panel and upper back door trim to pry the trim.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
2. REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM BOARD
Insert a screwdriver between the back door panel and back door trim board to pry the trim board.
HINT: Tape the screwdriver before use.
3. REMOVE REAR WIPER ARM
Remove the nut and rear wiper arm.
4. REMOVE REAR WIPER MOTOR
a. Remove the nut and washer on the outer side of back door panel.
b. Disconnect the connector.
c. Loosen the 3 bolts and remove the rear wiper motor.
d. Remove the packing from the motor.
INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL REAR WIPER MOTOR
a. Install the packing to the motor.
b. Install the rear wiper motor and tighten the 3 bolts.
Torque: 5.0 N.m (51 kgf.cm, 44 in.lbf)
c. Connect the connector.
d. Install the washer and nut on the outer side of back door panel.
Torque: 12 N.m (122 kgf.cm, 9 ft.lbf)
2. INSTALL REAR WIPER ARM
a. Install the wiper arms and tighten the nut by hand. Operate the wipers once and turn the wiper switch OFF.
b. Adjust the installation position of the wiper arm to the position as shown in the illustration.
A: 400 mm (15.75 in.)
B: 6.5 mm (0.256 in.)
C: 0 mm (0 in.)
D:130 degrees
c. Install the rear wiper arm with the nut.
Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 in.lbf)
3. INSTALL BACK DOOR TRIM BOARD
Install the back door trim board to the back door panel.
4. INSTALL UPPER BACK DOOR TRIM
Install the upper back door trim to the back door panel.
