Introduction
To reduce the possibility of a rattle from the glove box, the following repair procedure has been developed.

Applicable Vehicles
^ 1999 through 2000 model year RX 300.

Required Tools and Material

Repair Procedure

1. Open the Glove Box Door Assembly.

2. Remove any felt that may be located along the sides of the glove box door.





3. Add a piece of felt, 10 mm x 10 mm x 1 mm, to the right and left sides of the glove box door as indicated in the drawing. Felt should be attached to the edge of the glove box, then applied to the inner surface.

NOTE:
Be sure that felt is not visible when the glove box assembly is in the closed position.

Applicable Warranty*:
This repair is covered under the LEXUS Basic Warranty. This warranty Is in effect for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.

* Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.
