Carpet: Service and Repair

REMOVAL




1. REMOVE FRONT PART OF DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY
Using a screwdriver, remove the front part of deck board assembly.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

2. REMOVE FRONT SEATS
3. REMOVE REAR SEATS
4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE SCUFF PLATES
Insert a screwdriver between the front door inside scuff plate and body to pry the scuff plate.

HINT:
- Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
- Do the same for LH and RH.

5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIMS
6. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE SCUFF PLATES
Insert a screwdriver between the rear door inside scuff plate and body to pry the scuff plate.

HINT:
- Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
- Do the same for LH and RH.

7. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIMS
8. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISHES

HINT: Do the same for LH and RH.




a. Remove the front seat outer belt floor anchors.
b. Insert a screwdriver between the center pillar lower garnish and body to pry the garnish.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.




9. REMOVE DECK SIDE TRIM COVERS
Install the screwdriver between the deck side trim cover and the deck trim side panel to pry the deck side trim cover.

HINT:
- Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
- Do the same for LH and RH.

10. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISHES

HINT: Do the same for LH and RH.




a. Remove the 3 clips.
b. Insert a screwdriver between the rear seat side garnish and body to pry the garnish.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

11. REMOVE FOOTREST
12. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIMS
Remove the 2 clips and cowl side trims.

13. REMOVE NO. 2 UNDER COVER
Using a screwdriver, remove the No. 2 under cover.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

14. REMOVE NO. 2 LOWER PANEL




a. Using a screwdriver, remove the glove compartment door finish plate.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

b. Remove the front passenger airbag connector from the glove compartment door finish plate.

NOTE: When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

c. Remove the 2 bolts, 2 screws and No. 2 lower panel.

15. REMOVE LOWER FINISH PANEL




a. Remove the 2 bolts.
b. Using a screwdriver, remove the lower finish panel.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

c. Disconnect the connectors and hood lock control cable.

16. REMOVE LOWER CENTER CLUSTER FINISH PANEL




a. Using a screwdriver, remove the lower center cluster finish panel with ornament.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

b. Disconnect the connectors.

17. REMOVE CENTER FLOOR CARPET COVERS
a. Remove a clip and center floor carpet cover LH.
b. Remove the 2 clips and center floor carpet cover RH.

18. REMOVE LOWER CENTER FINISH PANEL
Remove the 6 screws and lower center finish panel.

19. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX




a. Using a screwdriver, remove the upper console panel.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

b. Using a screwdriver, remove the console box hole cover, then disconnect the connector.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.




c. Remove the 2 caps and 2 screws.
d. Using a screwdriver, remove the console box plate.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

e. Remove the 4 bolts and console box.
f. Disconnect the connector.

20. REMOVE FLOOR CARPET




a. Insert a screwdriver between the frame number cover and the carpet to remove the frame number cover as shown in the illustration.

HINT: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

b. Remove the bolts and front seat outer belt floor anchors.
c. Remove the bolts and rear seat outer belt floor anchors.
d. Remove the clips.
e. Remove the floor carpet.

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL FLOOR CARPET
a. Install the floor carpet.

HINT: When installing the floor carpet, take care to prevent wrinkles as much as possible.

b. Install the clips.
c. Install the rear seat outer belt floor anchors with the bolts.

Torque: 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 32 ft.lbf)

d. Install the front seat outer belt floor anchors with the bolts.

Torque: 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 32 ft.lbf)




e. Install the frame number cover as shown in the illustration.

2. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX




a. Connect the connector.
b. Install the console box with the 4 bolts.
c. Install the console box plate.
d. Install the 2 screws and 2 caps.
e. Connect the connector, then install the console box hole cover.




f. Install the upper console panel.

3. INSTALL LOWER CENTER FINISH PANEL
Install the lower center finish panel with the 6 screws.

4. INSTALL CENTER FLOOR CARPET COVERS
a. Install the center floor carpet cover RH with the 2 clips.
b. Install the center floor carpet cover LH with the clip.




5. INSTALL LOWER CENTER CLUSTER FINISH PANEL
Connect the connectors, then install the lower center cluster finish panel with ornament.

6. INSTALL LOWER FINISH PANEL




a. Connect the hood lock control cable and connectors to the lower finish panel.
b. Install the lower finish panel with the 2 bolts.

7. INSTALL NO. 2 LOWER PANEL




a. Install the No. 2 lower panel with the 2 bolts and 2 screws.
b. Install the front passenger airbag connector to the glove compartment door finish plate.

NOTE: When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

c. Install the glove compartment door finish plate to the No. 2 lower panel.

8. INSTALL NO. 2 UNDER COVER
9. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIMS
Install the cowl side trims with the 2 clips.

10. INSTALL FOOTREST




11. INSTALL REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISHES
Install the rear seat side garnish with the 3 clips.

HINT: Do the same for LH and RH.




12. INSTALL DECK SIDE TRIM COVERS
Install the deck side trim covers to the deck trim side panels.

13. INSTALL CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISHES

HINT: Do the same for LH and RH.




a. Install the center pillar lower garnish.
b. Install the front seat outer belt floor anchor.

Torque: 42 N.m (430 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf)

14. INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIMS
15. INSTALL REAR DOOR INSIDE SCUFF PLATES
16. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIMS
17. INSTALL FRONT DOOR INSIDE SCUFF PLATES
18. INSTALL REAR SEATS
19. INSTALL FRONT SEATS




20. INSTALL FRONT PART OF DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY
Install the front part of deck board assembly to the body.
