Transaxle Side Seals, A/T
ON-VEHICLE REPAIR1. DRAIN ATF
2. U140F: DRAIN TRANSFER OIL
3. REMOVE LH AND RH DRIVE SHAFT
4. REMOVE LH AND RH SIDE OIL SEAL
Using SST, drive out both the side oil seals.
SST 09308-00010
5. INSTALL LH SIDE OIL SEAL
a. Using SST and a hammer, drive in a new oil seal until its surface is flush until the case surface.
SST 09350-32014 (09351-32111, 09351-32130)
Oil seal drive in depth: 0 ± 0.5 mm (0 ± 0.020 inch)
b. Coat the oil seal lip with MP grease.
6. U140E: INSTALL RH SIDE OIL SEAL
a. Using SST and a hammer, drive in a new oil seal.
SST 09223-00010
Oil seal drive in depth: 0 ± 0.5 mm (0 ± 0.020 inch)
b. Coat the oil seal lip with MP grease.
7. U140F: INSTALL RH SIDE OIL SEAL
a. Using SST and a hammer, drive in a new oil seal.
SST 09223-06011
Oil seal drive in depth: 1 ± 0.3 mm (0.039 ± 0.012 inch)
b. Coat the oil seal lip with MP grease.
8. INSTALL LH AND RH DRIVE SHAFT
9. U140F: FILL TRANSFER OIL
10. FILL ATF AND CHECK ATF LEVEL
