Installation

NOTE: Never use airbag parts from another vehicle. When replacing parts, replace them with new parts.









1. INSTALL SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
Install the 2 nuts, and side airbag assembly.

Torque: 5.5 Nm (56 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf)

NOTE:
- Make sure that the side airbag assembly is installed with the specified torque.
- If the side airbag assembly has been dropped, or there are cracks, dents or other defects in the case or connector, replace the side airbag assembly with a new one.
- When installing the side airbag assembly, take care it is not pinched between other parts.

2. INSTALL SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY






a. Install the wire harness of the side airbag assembly to the reclining adjuster inside cover as shown in the illustration.

NOTE: Be careful not to damage the airbag wire harness.

b. Install the 3 screws and reclining adjuster inside cover.






c. Install the seat cushion assembly and 4 bolts.

Torque: 18 Nm (183 kgf.cm, 13 ft.lbf)






d. Install the wire harness of the side airbag assembly to the seat cushion assembly.

NOTE: Be careful not to damage the airbag wire harness.

e. Install the front seat cushion inner shield and 3 screws.
f. Install the front seat cushion shield and front power adjuster shield.
g. Install the 2 switch knobs.

3. INSTALL SEATBACK COVER (W/PAD)






a. Install the seatback cover (w/pad) to the seatback frame.
b. Install the 2 hooks and 2 screws.






c. Install the hook of seatback cover.
d. Install the new hog rings.

HINT: Install the hog rings to prevent wrinkles as least as possible






4. INSTALL SEATBACK BOARD
Install the seatback board as shown in the illustration.

HINT: Install the seatback board in order A,B as shown in the illustration.

5. INSTALL HEADREST SUPPORTS AND HEADREST






6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ARMREST
Install the front seat armrest bolt and cap.

Torque: 37 Nm (375 kgf.cm, 27 ft.lbf)

7. INSTALL FRONT SEAT
a. Mount the seat to the vehicle.
b. Connect the power seat connector and side airbag connector.
c. Install the outer bolt and inner bolt in the front side after sliding the seat to the rear most position.

Torque: 37 Nm (375 kgf.cm, 27 ft.lbf)

d. Tighten the bolts on the rear side temporarily, tighten them completely starting from the bolt on the inner side.

Torque: 37 Nm (375 kgf.cm, 27 ft.lbf)
