Introduction

Production changes have been made to the wire harness routing to improve smoothness of operation of the sunshade on 1999 RX 300 vehicles.

Warranty Information

Applicable Warranty *:
This repair is covered under the Lexus Basic Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.

* Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's complaint.

Repair Procedure





Remove the Front Interior Light (Dome Lamp) from the center housing frame of the sliding roof housing. Tape the wire harness to the center housing frame to eliminate interference.

If scratches are visible on the sunshade remove them with a brush.
