Service Action: Floor Mats Omitted From Vehicle

AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE:
Range Rover Sport (LS)
VIN: CA723191 - CA731076 (specific vehicles only)
Model Year: 2012

CONDITION SUMMARY:
Situation: A concern has been identified on certain 2012 model year Range Rover Sport 'HSE Limited Edition' vehicles which may have been delivered without the floor mats included in the vehicle.

Action: Retailers are required to 'HOLD' the affected vehicles within your control and refrain from releasing the vehicles for new or used vehicle sale pending completion of the rework action detailed in this Technical Bulletin. Vehicles already in the hands of customers should have this done at the next available service visit prior to the expiration date.

Always check DDW to verify that the vehicle is affected by this Service Action or any other campaign prior to undertaking any repair as some vehicles may have been repaired in port. DDW reflects only those vehicles affected and un-repaired.

NOTE:

Warranty claims should be submitted quoting the Program Code 'Q191' together with the relevant Option Code; this will result in payment of the stated time. As Option Codes are used, there is no requirement to
enter SRO information; these are displayed for information only. The option that allows for drive in / drive out may only be claimed if the vehicle is brought back into the workshop for this action alone to be undertaken.

This Service Action is valid for a limited time only and will expire on 31 July 2014. All Warranty claims up to this date must be submitted for payment within 30 days of completion of the repair.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

REPLACE THE FLOOR MATS

1. Remove the installed rubber floor mat set and place in vehicle loadspace.

2. Install the new front floor mats.

3. Install the new left-rear floor mat:





^ Position the new left-rear floor mat in the left-rear footwell and mark the center of the holes 'A' and 'B'.

4. Remove mat.





5. Using a suitable pointed tool, spike a small hole in the
carpet at points C and D, 30mm rearward of marks A and B.





6. Insert the mat retention clips into points C and D and turn clockwise until they turn freely.





^ Rear mat retention clips fitted.





7. Position and secure the new mat over the retention hooks.

8. Carry out steps 3 to 7 to the right-rear floor mat.
