Removal

All vehicles
1
WARNING: Do not work on or under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle on safety stands.
Raise and support the vehicle.
2 Remove the wheel and tire.
3 Remove the lower arm. For additional information, refer to Lower Arm Lower Arm




4 Remove the circlip.




5 Inspect the installed ball joint to determine if a radius is present.

6 Using the special tools, remove the ball joint.

7 Using the special tools, remove the ball joint.

Installation

All vehicles
1 Clean the components.




2 Inspect the new ball joint to determine if a radius is present.

3 Using the special tools, install the ball joint.

4 Using the special tools, install the ball joint.

All vehicles
5 Install the circlip.
6 Install the lower arm. For additional information, refer to Lower Arm Lower Arm
7 Install the wheel and tire.
- Tighten the wheel nuts to 140 Nm (103 lb.ft).
