Front Disc Brake Caliper with High Performance Brakes





Brake Caliper

Removal

CAUTION: LH illustration shown, RH is similar.

NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

WARNING: Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands.
Raise and support the vehicle.
2 Remove the wheel and tire.

CAUTION: The brake pad wear indicator sensor, which is installed on the left hand side only, is easily damaged. Do not use a lever to remove the sensor.

WARNING: Be prepared to collect escaping fluid.
CAUTION: Before disconnecting or removing components, ensure the area around the joint faces and connections are clean. Plug open connections to prevent contamination.
CAUTION: Make sure that new sealing washers are installed.
TORQUE: 32 Nm

NOTE:
Note the orientation of the brake pads.
Remove the front brake pads. For additional information, refer to Brake Pads - Vehicles With: High Performance Brakes Front Disc Brake Pads with High Performance Brakes




6 TORQUE: 275 Nm

Installation

NOTE:
Make sure the brake pads are installed in the correct orientation.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
