Oil Pan: Service and Repair






Oil Pan
This is a "Trustmark Authoring Standards (TAS) Repair Procedure"
- TAS style procedures can be identified by steps that have no accompanying step text and the magenta color of the electrical connectors and fasteners such as nuts, bolts, clamps or clips.
- TAS removal and installation procedures use a sequence of color illustrations to indicate the order to be followed when removing/disassembling or installing/assembling a component.
- Many of the TAS procedures will have the installation information within the removal steps.
- The TAS color illustrations use a variety of symbols to indicate important details of the procedures. It is important to understand these symbols in order to properly used the TAS procedures.

Removal

NOTE:

WARNING: Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands.
1 Raise and support the vehicle.

Repeat the above step for the other side.
Secure the hood at the highest position.




2 Repeat the above step for the other side.









Torque to: 24 Nm




3 Support the engine.
Special Service Tool




Engine support bracket, 303-021

Special Service Tool




Support Beam Arm and Hook Assembly, Engine, 303-662




Loosen the 5 bolts.




4 Loosen the 2 bolts.

































NOTE:
Make sure that all traces of the old sealant are removed from the mating faces.

Installation






NOTE:
Install a new gasket.

NOTE:
Note - Apply sealant WSE-M4G323-A6 in a 2-3mm diameter on the engine oil sump as shown. The component must be installed and tightened within 10 minutes of sealant application.

Torque to: 10 Nm









Torque to: 48 Nm





Torque to: 48 Nm





Torque to: 48 Nm





Torque to: 48 Nm





Torque to: 8 Nm





Torque to: 4 Nm





Torque to: 35 Nm





Torque to: 25 Nm




1 Remove the special tool.




2 Remove the special tool.









Torque to: 12 Nm




Repeat for both sides.





Torque to: 10 Nm





Torque to: 10 Nm

Using the diagnostic tool, calibrate the transmission control module (TCM).
Using the diagnostic tool, re-calibrate the gear shift module (GSM).
