Front Seat Track
This is a "Trustmark Authoring Standards (TAS) Repair Procedure"
- TAS style procedures can be identified by steps that have no accompanying step text and the magenta color of the electrical connectors and fasteners such as nuts, bolts, clamps or clips.
- TAS removal and installation procedures use a sequence of color illustrations to indicate the order to be followed when removing/disassembling or installing/assembling a component.
- Many of the TAS procedures will have the installation information within the removal steps.
- The TAS color illustrations use a variety of symbols to indicate important details of the procedures. It is important to understand these symbols in order to properly used the TAS procedures.

Removal

NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
1 Disconnect the battery ground cable.

WARNING: To avoid accidental deployment, the restraints control module backup power supply must be depleted. Wait at least two minutes after disconnecting the battery ground cable(s) before commencing any repair or adjustment to the supplemental restraint system (SRS), or any component(s) adjacent to the SRS sensors. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.
2 Make the SRS system safe.

Torque to: 10 Nm





NOTE:
Install the rear retaining bolts first.

Torque to: 28 Nm





NOTE:
Do not disassemble further if the component is removed for access only.

NOTE:
Make a note of the orientation of the electrical connector and wiring harness.





NOTE:
Make a note of the orientation of the front seat track motor cable.

NOTE:
The retaining bracket for the front seat track motor cable guide does not require removal.

Torque to: 10 Nm

Installation

CAUTION: Make sure that the front seat track motor is correctly installed to the cable guide

NOTE:
Make sure that the components are installed to the noted positions.
1 To install, reverse the removal procedure.
