P0616 Starter Relay Circuit Low - Inspection/Repair:_:W/Harness Inspection

Terminal & Connector Inspection

1. Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
2. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
3. Has a problem been found?






Control Circuit Inspection

Check Short in control circuit
1. IG KEY "OFF".
2. Disconnect Starter Relay.
3. IG KEY "ON"
4. Measure the voltage between control terminal of Starter Relay harness connector and chassis ground.

Specification :Approx 4.3V




5. Is the measured voltage within specification ?






Output Power Circuit Insepection

Check Open in power circuit
1. IG KEY "OFF".
2. Disconnect Starter Relay.
3. Measure the resistance between power supply to starter relay and Starter motor ST terminal

Specification :below 1Ohms




4. Is the measured resistance within specification ?
